Relationships between chronological and linguistic age and phonological awareness in children with developmental language disorder

ABSTRACT Purpose: to verify whether there is a relation between linguistic age and performance in phonological awareness of children presented with developmental language disorder. Methods: retrospective study comprising 53 disorder aged 4 7 years old. Their diagnosis followed the inclusion criteria internationally described Brazilian standardized tests for assessment were used. All underwent skills via all data went through statistical analysis. For correlation analysis, p-value was performed Pearson’s test. In regression analysis models used expressive receptive as independent variables dependent variable (p=0,036* p= 0,048*). Results: indicated strong A syllabic found well. addition, phonemic correlated their chronological age. confirmed by Conclusion: disorders. These findings raise discussion regarding under this condition literacy process.
